Baring of Your Soul (BYS) is a Non-Profit Company that was founded through the love of Christ. Its main purpose is to help the vulnerable and encourage people to find their purpose through Christ so they can contribute to changing the narratives of poverty, past traumas, and gender-based violence narratives. We believe that education and skilled people are the solid foundations for bringing sustainable transformation in society. "But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matt. 6:33
Education
As we respond to the call of God Almighty to 'Keep His Children Warm’, at Baring of Your Soul (The Kingdom of God), we believe in sustainable change. We change the poverty narrative through Education. Many students struggle to access essential resources such as clothing, books, and fees. Even the registration fees required for university admission are beyond the means of some aspiring students. We engage young professionals to mentor and provide financial support where possible.
Change the Narrative
While one person alone may not be able to change the world, our collective efforts can create a positive impact. Our ultimate goal is to bring hope and solace to distressed and despairing souls, fostering healing from past traumas, and in turn, contributing to the healing of the world. How do we change the narrative if we are broken vessels ourselves? By healing from our past traumas or from any brokenness we might have experienced.
This leads to self-discovery and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Through healing, we find ourselves, which then leads to finding our purpose and contributing to changing the narrative for others.
Allow the Lord to ignite His fire in you, leading you to discover and fulfill God's purpose on earth. We serve in the Kingdom of the Lord- Jesus Christ Who came to show us the unfailing and faithfulness of God: "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Charity
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:3, NIV
40% of South Africans go to bed hungry every night, and together, we can help change this narrative by donating to the Baring of Your Soul Charity fund. Through your donations, we will be able to support many children. Through Christ, BYS is working towards building a Charity Home where homeless women, men, and children can be accommodated, and your contribution to our cause will be genuinely appreciated and will undoubtedly have a significant and lasting effect on the community.
